Grand Junction-raised novelist and screenwriter Dalton Trumbo had a breakout year in 1935,
beginning with his novel "Eclipse," which skewered his home town. A musical about that novel is being presented at the Avalon Theatre in Grand Junction this Saturday. My column about Trumbo is linked below.
