R.D. Mobley was among the earliest settlers in Grand Junction, was the first postmaster and first county judge.
He also lived in the first log home in the town. Now, a group is seeking to honor his memory by erecting a new and more informational monument at Mobley's grave site in the Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
